It has been a few years since the creation of this organization, Brothers & Sisters @ IU. This organization was originally founded by Yue Hu and Cheng Li around the time I was finishing high school and entering my freshman year at Indiana University (2015). The purpose was to forge friendships between domestic and international students (and their families/friends) of all age ranges and backgrounds. It was a roaring success in the first year and has since declined due to busy schedules and other reasons. However, as the current president I am seeking a fantastic replacement to continue promoting the diversity and cultural awareness that this organization stands for.
Brothers & Sisters @ IU allowed me, and my fellow board members pictured above, to interact with people from all over the world. I have formed friendships with many of the past and present members and I would have never met them had it not been for this organization. One person, with a different perspective, cultural experience, and background can really change the course of your life. This is a worthy organization that needs someone as passionate about international issues and inclusion as we (the board members) are. Simple recruiting methods at involvement fairs and monthly meetings are the easiest way to get new members. You can locate the organization on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram.
If anything, continue to learn about the different people and cultures that IU has in its student body and Bloomington has in its people. If anything, at least I know this organization made a difference in the members lives and that it will always be in some of my greatest memories from IU.
Brothers & Sisters @ IU needs a new president, could it be you?

Psychology Major and Cutters Intern
Hey guys! I'm a senior Psychology student with an undeniable passion for life. It's rare to find me completely out of sorts and feeling down on myself. I am a lover of adventure, the medical field, German soccer, and Cutters football. When I'm not completely immersed in sports, school, work, internships and volunteering, you'll catch me laughing at ridiculous jokes, making a blog post for We Are IU or attempting to sleep.
