Hey there! My name is Zach Turi and I am currently a sophomore here at IU. If I could describe college life in a nutshell, I would say it is hectic, fast-paced, and incredibly fun. If I could describre me in a nutshell, I would say I am energetic, friendly, and loving my time here at IU. I am a Marketing Major in the Kelley School of Business, a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity, and a Committee Chairman on the IU Student Foundation.
Despite taking an incredibly difficult schedule of classes right now, I somehow still manage to find some free time each day. To unwind and clear my head, I enjoy going on a run, lifting at the SRSC, or getting in a good workout on the bike. Over the past summer, I became obsessed with triathlons and invested in a solid road bike so I could start competing. I have completed one triathlon so far and this summer I hope to do at least three more.
My favorite time of year here at IU is the first few months of school when the weather is beautiful, the campus is buzzing, and most importantly, tailgate season arrives. You can see the spirit and dedication of IU fans in every lot by the football stadium, where there is no shortage of sizzling hamburgers, great music, and good times to be had by all. Some of the best times I have had thus far at IU have been waking up at 6AM on a Saturday to spend my mornings tailgating with my friends and family.
I hope that you use my blog as a good source of entertaining material, of what it is like to be in the middle of this fast-paced campus, and some of the ways I've chosen to try to make the most out of my IU experience.
