My reaction to 1ND1ANA beating Michigan State

72-68. It was an away game at Michigan State and a nail biter. I was in an IUDM meeting that started at 8 and we were getting score updates the whole time. Michigan became unraveled against the pressure. I mean, it's easy to do when you face 1ND1ANA. They had a 66-63 lead with 1:50 left in the game. At this point, my meeting paused and we all snuggled in the TV room of Phi Mu and watched the rest play out. We screamed with our scores and booed when Michigan  State was taking free throws. Our hands were up when we were shooting free throws and whooshed when they were sunk. THIS IS HOOSIER NATION.

If you weren't a fan of basketball, as I was not, you will be as soon as you move in. My roommates are contagious with their Hoosier Hysteria. Once you get into it, you are in it for the long haul. You scream the players names, and calling them by their first names like you've known them forever. You feel their losses (which are a thing of the past... 1ND1ANA), and celebrate their victories. It is not just school spirit, it's more than that. It is the thing that is embedded in our blood, and makes us stop meetings to watch the ends of games. The excitment builds, and I am currently sitting on the edge of my seat... still, even after the game.

Here is a pretty good article that recapped the game if you were too silly tonot  watch it yourself:

THIS IS 1ND1ANA. That's all I can say.

Peace, love, 1UBB
