Get Out And Volunteer: Stephen's Work At The Bloomington Animal Shelter

HEY! I think you should go volunteer! Classes, friends, and activities can take up a lot of time at IU, but it's good to try something new every once in a while. I've been volunteering at the BACC Animal Shelter for this semester, and it's pretty close to the campus.  It's very rewarding when helping out at the shelter because I know that I am helping animals and my community at the same time.

(Don't you want to go play with puppies?)

I take dogs outside and play with them, walk them around, play fetch, or just pet them for a while in the sun.  They need people to come interact with them a lot so that they stay happy and get some exercise at the same time.

Please tell other people about adopting because all of these animals are vaccinated and spayed/neutered, so that's one less problem to worry about.  Plus these are the nicest, happiest animals you can find.  The Bloomington Animal Shelter that I volunteer at is located at 3410 South Walnut Street, Bloomington, IN, 47401 if you ever want to visit or adopt the animals.
