Saying Goodbye To Bloomington

The last roommates' dinner has been had...(Crazy Horse, a place downtown!)

The boxes have been packed...(lots, and lots, and lots...more than I ever remember moving in!)

Finals have finished...(and I survived and am officially a junior now, so strange)

And now the only thing left to do is:

Leave for London!

You won't see me around here much this summer, but you can find my travel blog on the IU journalism website. I'll be studying abroad and interning for eight weeks, all leading up to the Summer Olympics in London!

I can't wait.

So, after a week of packing up my apartment, saying a bittersweet goodbye to Bloomington, and then re-packing for London, I just wanted to sign off one more time and say that I hope everyone enjoys their summers wherever you choose to spend it!

And to any prospective students reading, hope to see you here in Bloomington in the fall :)

About The Author
Rachel HartogJournalism Major, Class of 2014, Georgetown, IN

I am a journalism major and business minor and plan to graduate in May 2014. Some of my best experiences in life have been because of IU, including studying abroad, meeting great people, and having an awesome internship

After I graduate, I hope to get into the broadcast journalism field, either traveling as a field reporter or getting to cover local events. I'm still exploring what specific area interests me but am open to just about anything!

I am looking forward to sharing all of my experience and everything that makes IU such a great place to be on this blog!
