Hello world!

Self-proclaimed nerd, or interested in an informatics or computer science major at Indiana University? Hopefully you'll enjoy my posts! I've been on a little bit of a meme binge lately, but when I had to explain what a meme was to my roommates, I realized it's a term not frequently used. If you didn't know already, Facebook has recently teamed up with several witty teens & twenty-somethings to start up University-Meme sites, including our very own Indiana University Memes

A little about me so you know who you're hearing from:

I’m a senior in the School of Informatics and Computing with a minor in business and a concentration in graphic design. My interests lie in requirements gathering, database management, project management, UI design and IT Consulting. I've worked a lot of random jobs at IU - including UITS Tech Consultant, Union Board Advertising Assistant Director, SoIC Camp Counselor and the list goes on. I'm passionate about a lot of things, including music and shows, running, movies, the Bloomington bar-scene, stupid comedy, great food, etc.

I am currently an active UITS (University Technology Services) employee under the great Adobe guru, Bob Flynn out of Bloomington, IN and Todd Herring, based out of Indy. I'm involved in a wonderful in-college internship opportunity given to us through the School of Informatics: Serve IT. We are working with Leadership Bloomington Monroe County Alumni Association to build them an awesome website! This will be my second semester working with this non-profit clinic, and definitely an experience I would love to talk to anyone about taking-part in. They welcome students of all majors, especially SPEA, business, informatics and computer science. We have a great time and it's an excellent opportunity to work with real-world clients. This summer, I will begin working at JPMorgan Chase & Co. as a business systems analyst. I look forward to writing for WeAreIU!
