Question: What do an IU student, Barack Obama, and your grandmother all have in common?

Answer: We all are entitled to our basic human rights.

Short and sweet, this is why I am writing to you today.

December 10th is Human Rights Day, and in the midst of finals, Greek life recruitment, the holidays, and the latest Friday night drama, we must remember that at the end of the day, we are all connected by our human rights.

Your rights are yours simply because you are a human being. And that's something no person, no government, nothing can take away from any of us. So let's stop letting them.

Do you want to know the single best way to be a connected college student?-- find a cause worthy of your time. Because that's something that will stick with you far beyond graduation.

Find a cause worthy of your time and find out so much more about yourself.

Happy Human Rights Day.

Happy, not because of the present atrocities in this world, but happy because we have the ability to change them.

Peace,

Kaylee
