Now that Spring Break is over and we are all getting back to the books, I look back and I can't believe how quickly my freshman year has flown by. It's already time to start thinking about registration for fall semester of next year. That, my readers, can be a stressful task. I've contemplated my major so many times that picking classes seems so hard sometimes. This is a pretty common thing and rest assured because making an appointment with your advisor can do wonders for your nerves.
I recently went in to speak with my advisor about my major and classes for next semester and I'm so glad that I did. I walked in her door a frazzled, stressed out mess and left calm and collected. I was amazed at how much she was able to help me out with information not only about the degree programs I'm interested in, but also about personal experience. Her advice and knowledge helped me out so much! I can't thank her enough for doing her job well. Thanks to her, I am now stress-free, ready to focus on these last six weeks, and fully prepared for registration. All of my stress could have been avoided if I'd gone to talk to her sooner. Always remember that the advisors are here to help, you just have to take the initiative to talk with them!
