It's late, I'm exhausted, but I couldn't wait to post something on here. This is my new memory bank, a way for me to share my stories with my friends and peers as well as my future self. Writing is somewhat of a new hobby that I have taken up in my few short months at Indiana University. I aspire to one day become good enough to make a career out of it. In this post I'd like to share one of my favorite quotes. It comes from a book called The Last Lecture written by Randy Pausch.
“A lot of people want a shortcut. I find the best shortcut is the long way, which is basically two words: work hard.” -- Randy
If you're looking something new to read, I would highly recommend this book. It's one of the most beautiful and thought provoking stories I have ever heard. I love this quote because I can apply it to anything I'm doing. I know that one day I will be successful because I work hard and have patience. Take opportunities presented to you, and if you aren't happy move on and do something else. It's unbelievable what I have learned and how much I have changed just within these first months studying at Indiana. I want to reach an audience and inspire them through my writing, which is why im starting this outlet on weareiu.com. I'm so thankful for this opportunity and I can't wait to see where it goes.
