As A Senior Graduating In May, I'm Leaving IU With No Regrets!

As a senior graduating in May, I'm leaving IU with no regrets. I've studied abroad twice, taken a wide variety of classes, joined student organizations and cheered for IU athletics.

Getting ready to graduate is scary, but I'm excited to see where my journalism degree will take me. I've already interned with the Scripps Howard Foundation Wire in Washington, D.C., and with the Herald-Times in Bloomington.

During my time at IU, I've dedicated a lot of my time to the Indiana Daily Student. I've been the IU Police Department beat reporter, city/state editor, campus editor, special features editor, and last spring I was a managing editor. As a senior at the IDS, I spent most of my time writing and designing.

Two of my projects from this year included a personal essay (http://www.idsnews.com/news/inside/Story.aspx?id=85670) and working directly with a photographer on an in-depth profile (http://idsnews.com/news/story.aspx?id=86160&search=lindsey%20erdody&section=search).

I enjoy writing about a variety of topics, but prefer in-depth, investigative pieces. After graduation I'll be interning with the Arizona Republic for 10 weeks and then hopefully finding a job at a daily newspaper.
