The Ideal Care Package from Home

Hey Hoosiers! We are almost done with the Fall 2012 semester! Although, we still have three more weeks of official school to get through in order to be on Christmas Break. Now, I know that it seems to be a long way away, but three weeks passes by really quickly and we have dead week and finals week to look forward too. Anyways, so an academic semester can be really long and busy, but one item that can make everyone happy is a care package from home when we are busy finishing semester projects, papers, or studying for final exams in our classes.

What's in a care package? It can range from food to electronics all the way to cash and a birthday gift, but whatever you receive it must be special as it comes directly to your place of residence on campus. I know many friends of mine are excited and pleased at getting a care package from home. It lifts their morale during rough times and gets them through even more difficult times to come throughout the college years.

Here are a few items I would love to receive in a care package from home:

  1. Tortilla chips
  2. Organic granola bars
  3. Uncle Ben's Ready Rice Pouches
  4. College Ruled Paper
  5. New clothing and Puma shoes

Here are some favorite items from my childhood I would like in a care package:

  1. Old plastic army men
  2. Beanie babies
  3. Pokemon trading cards
  4. Rock collection
  6. Paper snowflakes
  7. National Geographic World Map

Whatever I receive in a care package, I am very happy with because I know it demonstrates the love my parents have for me and the thought they put into it on their spare time in order to be the best parents they can possibly be! Now, all Hoosier students should feel thankful for their parents as they're your main support group throughout your college years and that will never falter as long as you have a good relationship with them. So, take the time to sit down with them and thank them for everything they have done for you up till now and into the near future.

Cheer up Hoosiers! The end of the semester is almost here and you know what that means. Time for Christmas Break soon and all the fun that comes with it (shopping and gifts primarily)!
