The Wonderful World of Bloomington

It had been awhile since I had decided to take a stroll down Kirkwood on a week night, so last Wednesday a few friends and I decided to enjoy the lovely weather and spend a few hours walking around downtown. There was all the usual hustle and bustle of the shops and restaurants, but a little farther on towards the square, a curious sight came into view:

This, my friends, is a tree scarf. The entire trunk of the tree and a large majority of the branches are covered in knitted yarn of various colors and patterns. Maybe I'm just a dork, but I thought this was the most awesome thing I'd seen all week. There are all sorts of small things like this around town that display the creativity of Bloomington's citizens and help make living here a unique experience. Now, I am off to explore Kirkwood once more to see what Little 500 weekend surprises I can find.
