Writing Tutorial Services

I have an important paper due in my Intro to Shakespeare class on Friday. Freaking out a little about it, I decided I needed another's point of view. After many recommendations from friends, I decided to sign up for a WTS session. And it was the best part of my day! With the option of either a 25 minute or 50 minute session, the helpers at the WTS organizations were unbelievably helpful. They read over your paper and assignment sheet, making sure your writing is clear, organized, and follows the professor's instructions. They go over grammar, diction, and sentence structure, each time helping you make your paper more focused and precise. Within the last ten minutes of your session, you and your instructor keys into one part of your paper, maybe your thesis, or your second paragraph, transforming it into a better paragraph.

Papers are difficult to write, even for journalism majors. Having someone read your writing is essential before turning it in. Getting a new perspective on ideas generates a new light for your paper. Sentences that may sound good in your head may not be the great...

So when the time comes to write your first paper, and trust me it will come soon, run over to the library for some advice!
