IU gets colored!

This past weekend, the annual JB5k  took place. The run/walk is a regular event in regognition of the death of IU student, Jill Behrman. All proceeds go to benefitting Jill's House and helping out the SRSC. The SRSC organized the entire event on Saturday, creating a new course route and providing the hundreds of packets of powered color. The event was a hit, with over a hundred people running and walking. You could sign up by yourself or with a team.

The reason for this article, is that the JB5k is only one of the many fundraiser events that IU organizes for the students. Whether it is a running event, such as the Hoosiers Outrun Cancer, or the Big Man on Campus Talent Show that took place Friday night, all the funds for the events go to charities.

The Talent Show, hosted by the Zeta TAu Alpha sorority, urged donations and gathered money to give to organizations to find the cure to breast cancer.

So, even if you're not the best runner, and have a spare dollars to sign up with, register for one of the events to help promote cancer reaserch and other fundraisers. Even if you do not win the event, it still fun, exciting and a great way to volunteer and help others.
