So it's about that time...we're almost half-way through the semester, and the stress is really starting to pile on. The dreaded mid-terms are finally here, and you're really starting to hit the books. College life can seem overwhelming at times, but what can you do to relax and unwind? Well, I have a few suggestions for you...
Get involved in college culture - go see a show at the IU Auditorium!
Last night I went to see the amazing Bernadette Peters perform at the IU Auditorium, and it was a great way to celebrate the completion of half of my mid-terms. The show was phenomenal, and it felt amazing to put down the books for a few hours and lose myself in a magical performance. The auditorium does a great job of getting amazing singers, actors, and performers to come perform here at IU, so take advantage of it! Some of the upcoming shows include In The Heights, Disney Live, and even Mac Miller. Visit the IU Auditorium website for a full list, there are plenty of shows to choose from! http://www.iuauditorium.com/site/index.html#
Relax with some friends - make a night of the Oscars!
As you may know, tonight is the Academy Awards! Personally, I enjoy using the Oscars as a way to have a fun night full of friends, food and games. If you're feeling overwhelmed by school work, invite some friends over tonight. Have everyone dress up and have a red carpet party of your own! Discuss your picks for best and worst dressed, eat some hors d'oeuvres, and have a friendly competition based on who does the best at predicting the winners. Not only will you have a great time, but you will feel refreshed and optimistic when you have to hit the books again!
