IU Basketball

I am now in my fourth year at IU.  I have had season tickets to basketball all four years here and have only missed maybe four home games.  If you would've asked me my freshmen year, when we went 6-25 I would have told you to get season tickets if you could afford it.  Supporting your school's major sports is a must do and, well, being a hoosier you know that basketball is ours.  In the short three years since that 6-25 season, Tom Crean has turned us into a top 25 team with a 20-7 record.  I know many of you IU students out there are crazy about IU basketball like me and do have season tickets.  But there are too many of you out there missing out.  I for one live with two people who have never even been to a game and very rarely even watch on TV.  That is a mistake and I cannot stress this enough.  Being apart of something bigger than you and supporting your school is a central part of college life.  Now I realize not everyone likes sports and even those that do maybe basketball is not their thing.  But if you are a basketball fan and you go to IU and are not following IU basketball this year then you are crazy!  Its been a phenomenal year and I cant even describe how much fun the games are.  I also had a room mate last year who had season tickets but never went to the games.  That is the worst.  You are leaving empty seats in assembly, you're wasting tickets for people who may want them, and you are wasting money (most likely your parents if your blowing off the games).  If you have season tickets, go to the games.  If you can't make one or two make sure a friend or someone who does not have season tickets gets your ticket and can go in your place.  If you are truly a hoosier and have not been watching and supporting IU basketball then now is as good of a time as any to start.  It's not like we have any hope for football...
