The Horrors of Packing

So when decided where I was going to school I only had a couple months to prepare myself for the huge transition to Indiana University. One of the things that I was most worried about was packing. If you were to ask any of my friends to list a few things about me, I can almost guarantee that they would tell you that I have a lot of clothes. Coming to school, I had 22 pairs of pants, 65 button downs and polos, 25 sweaters, and hundreds of t shirts among many other things. And I wasn't about to part ways with any of it. And I am telling you right now: BAD IDEA. This is a picture of everything that I packed and was bringing to school.

I had to fit all of that, not only into my car, but into my dorm room with all of my roommate's stuff. It was not an easy task. From one student to another. You don't need it all. And as ridiculous as it sounds, I still managed to forget things. Here is a list of a few things that people commonly forget to bring from home:

  • Extension cords
  • Iron (trust me, you'll want one)
  • Shower shoes
  • Shower caddy
  • Cleaning supplies
  • First aid kit
  • Screwdriver/Hammer/Toolkit (ya never know when you might need it)
  • Stapler and three-hole punch
  • Flash drive
  • Extra blankets and towels
  • AIR FRESHENERS (dorms smell....bad)

Until next time,
