How To Survive "Dead Week"Florencia Serra
So we are currently in the middle of IU's "dead week" and we are all probably going a little crazy. It seems a little ironic to me it's actually called Dead Week because the amount of work I need to turn in this week is absurd and very much alive.
Here is a quick guide to survive this terrible week and finals week.
- Find a quiet place. The Wells library is pretty awesome but not during this time of the year. It's always packed and very difficult to find a computer. Try searching for computer labs in the Fine Arts building (one of my favorite spots) or the basement of the Union.
- Bring snacks. The worst feeling is sitting down to finally start working on a paper and realize you are hungry. If you have a snack with you, you can simply open your handy backpack and snack away!
- Bring headphones. If you are like me, you like to have a least a little bit of background sound. I am not saying blast your favorite tunes because that will probably distract you, but mellow music usually does the trick.
- Wear comfortable clothes. Enough said
Happy dead week everyone!!
