My name is Florencia Serra and I am currently a senior in the Journalism school here at IU. I was born in the small town of Montevideo in Uruguay and my parents made the decision to move to Weston, Florida when I was 13 years old. It is unbelievable that it has been nine years since we moved, and that my college graduation is only three months away. I am confident I made the best decision when I decided to come to Indiana University to pursue my Journalism degree. Being so far from home, and knowing the big sacrifice my parents are making to allow me to follow my dream, makes me be grateful of all of the opportunities that I have. I am very exciting to start blogging and sharing my experiences of the past four years. I am also taking this opportunity to remember and reminisce on all the things that happened since I arrived in Bloomington in the fall of 2008.
Some facts about the things I like...
- I enjoy discovering new music, shooting outdoor photographs, and reading.

Now that gradaution is right around the corner, I finally know that I strive for a career in which I would be able to utilize all of my skills: a love of creative expression, an effective way of communication, and a fascination with telling stories.
I love collecting quotes, and my new favorite one is:
"We must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools." - Martin Luther King Jr.
