The Center of Campus Life

This is a picture of one of the many entrances to the Indiana Memorial Union. It is one of my favorite buildings on campus. There is so much inside, including a hotel, a Starbucks, bowling alley, and a ton of great places to study. I am actually taking bowling this semester and my class is held in at the IMU bowling alley. If you were to enter through the door pictured and go up the beautiful staircase, you will see chairs and couches full of students napping, studying, and reading the IDS, IU's campus newspaper. I am sure that almost every student has spent at least one afternoon in the IMU using the resources available there. Although I consider the phrase "the center of campus activity" a little cliche to describe the IMU, it truly is, at least during the day.

There is a part of the IMU that not everyone on campus sees the inside of.  There is an elevator that leads to several floors of offices for student groups, including the Union Board. The Union Board plans all the best IU events, from concerts like Lil Wayne to the movies shown on the weekends.

Even as I write I am thinking of more and more great things that the Union has to offer, but I challenge you to go find them for yourself! There is something for everyone!
