Me in a Figurative Nutshell

Welcome to my blog! Let's dish out a few fun facts about myself, shall we? My name is Dan Hopp, and I am a senior here at Indiana University. I've spent all four years studying accounting at the Kelley School of Business, and I recently added the technology management co-major to my curriculum, as well as being accepted into the MSIS graduate program.

Hailing from the suburbs of Chicago, I was one of a few high school classmates to venture down to Bloomington. Because of this, I reached out to various organizations and extra-curricular activities to expand my social and professional network.

I rushed, pledged, and was eventually initiated into the Delta Chi Fraternity,  (off-campus at that time). With a contact in the house, I volunteered for a backstage crew spot in two student-produced musicals, and auditioned and was accepted into an improv comedy group on campus.

After serving on the executive board for Delta Chi, I was looking for some way to broaden my network within the Kelley School of Business. Enter Delta Sigma Pi (DSP).  DSP is a professional business fraternity that focuses on a balance between social, educational, and professional aspects of a students collegiate career. I served on the executive board for this organization as well.

Senior year came around, and my roommate and I decided to apply for a radio show. I now discuss movies and play their corresponding soundtracks Sunday nights from 11pm-1am (Listen to us!).

I do not want to give too much away now (too late, I know), for there is plenty to write about these coming weeks, but if you would like to contact me, please send me an email at dhopp@indiana.edu.
