I've found that when I go back to my room between classes, I'm not that productive. Sure, I mean to do homework, but my bed looks so cozy and I'm so tired..... so yeah that homework doesn't get done until later. This is especially bad on Mondays and Wednesdays because I have one class at 9:30 and then not another until 4:00. I usually go back to my room between my classes, sometimes though I have lunch with a friend on campus and stay and do homework. Tuesdays and Thursdays I stay on campus until I'm all done with my classes because I don't have enough time to go back. I hang in the union or library and then I am productive because there's not a lot of other distractions around. If I go on the computers there, I don't want to get on my Facebook and Twitter because random people could be creeping! And the library just gives off that studious aura that makes me feel like doing work.
I'm working at becoming better at doing homework during the afternoon on Mondays and Wednesdays so I have more time at night for other things like clubs and friends. I think it's a really good idea to do your homework first and then relax and hang out. It's like a reward to yourself to finishing all your homework and hey you might even get a decent night's sleep! If you have time between classes, find a place on campus and do homework. I love the South Lounge in the Union, the couches are so comfy and great for quick nap! If you're more productive in the day, you will thank yourself later!
