Tatiana Peters
Law and Public Policy major, class of 2022 My name is Tatiana Peters. I am a sophomore studying Law and Public Policy. I am specifically interested in advocating for marginalized communities and social injustice at large. I believe community development and city planning is essential to improve living conditions across cultures. Ideally, I am looking forward to pursuing a career working in the non profit sector that aims to bridge gaps associated with disparities in low income communities. I believe it is a human right for every single person to receive a stable education, have equal opportunities, have access to affordable food and housing. My passions are directly related to the fact that I am a lover of Jesus and people. Being the President of Awaken Campus Ministry has truly humbled me to the importance of every single soul that God has created. I adore being a FASE peer mentor because it is such an honor to alleviate someone else's stresses and to reassure their dreams. Youth development is such a crucial stage. I believe it takes a village to raise a single person. We must be proactive about realizing our influence on our friends, families, and fellow peers. Being a Hoosier at O'Neill has taught me that leading for the greater good isn't just a catchy phrase but it's a reality that we must take seriously.
